Man the Beauty of Apple. Pleasant and sweet, its speakers bring fresh music to the air.
Design:
Gorgeous!!
Hardware Design:
Apple has always been known for their beautiful and well developed designs. That, honestly, is what sold me right off the bat. Before I really knew the difference between PC and Mac
Software Design:
When I turned on my new beauty, the light from the screen blasted onto my face like I was entering the gates of heaven. I screamed. Don’t worry, only with glee. I liked how the dock was set up and you were given options onto where to put it, what to put in it, and how big or small you wanted it to be. Apple is about the creative side of computers so it was great to practically customize your own look of your computer. Goodbye PC.

Level of Difficulty:
Compared to PC, Mac is like eating the cake and PC is like having to actually make it first. If you don’t know how to bake a cake, with PC, you are screwed. Because Mac is different however, it does take a little bit of getting used to. The closing, minimizing, and maximizing buttons are located on the top left corner instead of the right. At first I couldn’t find it. I also liked how simple it was to switch between programs with the touch of two buttons, (your apple button and the tab button switches between each page) very convenient when working on a big project. Microsoft word provided an organized layout of recent, past, and new projects every time you opened one of their applications. This became easier to figure out what you wanted to work on and not have to dig through file after file for your project. What was also helpful was even if you opened Microsoft Word, you didn’t have to close the entire application to access Powerpoint. The new addition to the computer family was iTunes, iPhoto, Garage band, and to name another one, Photo booth. You kind of have to learn these from scratch. iTunes is accessible through PC’s so if you have a PC and are looking into purchasing a Mac, iTunes isn’t any different. I love Photo booth because you can snap those Myspace pictures without having to upload them to your computer. There is even an iPhoto button that directly takes that picture into your photo library. iPhoto was easier than easy to use. The only trouble I found was exporting your photos onto a different file so that way you can upload them to your favored site. I found Export under File and then you can choose to save them as original or what is most commonly used is jpg. Myspace only really accepts jpg, so if you are exporting some photos from iPhoto to put them into your Myspace, I suggest just using jpg. You can also create a book from your photos in your iPhoto library. There are templates you can choose from and then after you layout your pictures, for a fee, you can have the book sent to your house. It made a perfect gift for me one year. So easy!
Overall Rating:
I give the iMac five stars. The only problems I found with it is that if something goes wrong in any program, the entire program just shuts down. Then you are kind of stuck having to try to bring it back up. Even though the advertisements tell you that you can have as many programs open as you please, when you have so many open, it tends to slow the computer down. Honestly though, it is a small price to pay for being able to do so much on the iMacs. Rock on Mac lovers, rock on!
